My Story

Hi, I’m Lexi — a full-time destination wedding and elopement photographer who truly cannot believe this is my job.

My photography story started in high school with a hand-me-down camera and creative shoots with my sister. We’d drag each other out at golden hour, try random creative ideas, and post everything to Instagram. One day a girl from school asked me to take her senior photos. I remember saying, “I’m not a professional… but I’d love to.” That session changed everything. I fell in love with creating images that made people feel beautiful and confident in themselves.

At the time, I was set on becoming a nurse. I worked as a CNA from high school through college (while attending Utah State) and saw firsthand what hard work really looks like. Photography, on the other hand, never felt heavy. It was my creative escape — the thing I’d stay up late doing even when I was exhausted.

Because I’m a “make sure” kind of girl, I went on a little side quest and got my cosmetology license too. I built a full lash extension clientele in under a year while still growing my photography business on the side. Meanwhile, I was second shooting weddings, investing in mentorships, studying light, timelines, and learning everything about photography.

Then in 2021, I photographed my first wedding.

Game over.

The energy. The nerves. The emotion. The once-in-a-lifetime weight of it all. I was obsessed. I loved being trusted with moments that can’t be redone. Documenting celebrations with the people you love most.

With the full support of my husband, Troy, I took the leap and went full-time in 2023. Since then, I’ve photographed 25–35 weddings every single year and have documented over 100 love stories. What started as “I just love taking photos” has turned into a refined, experience-driven business serving couples all across the country and across the world!

These days, I specialize in destination weddings and intentional, full wedding weekends — the kind where your people fly in, the champagne is flowing, and the entire experience matters just as much as the ceremony. I bring a calm, confident presence, years of experience navigating timelines and lighting in any setting, and the ability to anticipate moments before they happen.

I give my all to every single wedding I take on. Not just in the photos — but in the process. I’ll help build your timeline, guide you when you’re unsure, fix your veil, carry your bouquet, hype you up, and make sure you actually enjoy your day. I care deeply about how your wedding feels, not just how it photographs.
