Erin + Dillon Wedding

Albion Basin and Unita Mountains in Oakley UtahÂ
Erin and Dillon are high school sweethearts who have lived in multiple states together, so planning a fun destination wedding weekend felt like the ultimate way to celebrate their next chapter. Since they both love the Utah mountains, bringing their dream day to life here was just perfect.
They flew in from North Carolina for an extended wedding week, starting on Thursday, July 23rd with a pre-wedding session at Albion Basin. It was peak wildflower season, and spending the evening surrounded by wildflowers was the best way to break the ice, take some gorgeous photos, and get to know each other before the big day!
With family traveling in from all over—mostly from the East Coast—they spent a few days exploring Utah before their celebration on Monday. For the wedding, we traveled deep into the Uinta Mountains to a beautiful cabin tucked away in the forest. I captured the entire flow of the day, from getting-ready moments and an emotional first look with Erin and her dad to the bridal party just hanging out and taking in the quiet mountain setting.
After getting ready, we headed to a nearby lake for their intimate ceremony. Right as they began, a light drizzle started to fall, making the moment feel even more surreal. They exchanged vows and rings, and during their unity knot ceremony, they joked that the rain was only sealing the knot tighter.
After taking portraits around the lake, we headed back to the cabin for an incredible evening of food, dancing, and celebrating under the trees. It was the perfect mix of an unforgettable experience with family and jaw-dropping, artful images to keep these memories alive forever.
