Coastal Inspired Wedding at Sunrise Resort in Bear Lake

Bringing the coast and beachy vibes to Utah! I absolutely loved this wedding at Sunrise Resort Event Center in Bear Lake. The venue sits right next to the water, and the lighthouse-style building makes it feel like the perfect coastal setting for a summer wedding.

Emily has always loved beachy, coastal details, and she incorporated them beautifully throughout the day. They also had a Christian ceremony, and one of my favorite details was the seashell cross Emily DIY’d and displayed during the ceremony. She also created the gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces herself, which made everything feel even more personal and thoughtful.

The morning was so sweet while Emily got ready with her bridesmaids. They wore matching blue robes, and Emily had a long lace-trimmed robe that was so cute. She also did a first look with her bridesmaids, and her maid of honor surprised her with a Kendra Scott necklace for her to wear on the wedding day.

Another beautiful moment was when Emily and Luke shared a first touch and prayer together before the ceremony. They held hands around the corner without seeing each other yet, which made the moment feel really intimate and emotional.

Being able to photograph beautifully in any lighting situation is a huge part of documenting a full wedding day.

My absolute favorite part of the day was sunset portraits. We leaned into more editorial, fashion-forward posing with the water and venue in the background, creating images that felt both romantic and refined.
